Show HN: Cryo – A language whose programs live forever

Cryo is a programming language that models long-running tasks like workflows or AI agents. Programs freeze to disk when idle and can be thawed when new data arrives. As part of our announcement of Endothermic Labs, we've put together a small demo of Cryo that highlights its features and walks through the language and its plugin system. We originally built it as a way to deploy healthcare agents at scale, but have rebuilt it from the ground up to be a standalone toolchain for long-running tasks.

Version & cost evidence

Source votes: 12 votes (Oct 28, 2026 UTC; cumulative since publication); previous same-scope observation: 12 (Oct 27, 2026 UTC). These observations do not establish demand growth. Recent records to compare: “Show HN: EasyRunCraft – An office and creative suite for your AI agent” (Show HN, Nov 6, 2026); “Show HN: Grid – A Hold'em arena where your AI agent plays your strategy (Beta)” (Show HN, Nov 6, 2026). Shared themes are navigation hints; they have not been verified as the same need or independent corroboration.

Who is affected

Identify the existing workflow this change affects before recommending an upgrade. Launch attention does not establish improvement; an API, pricing or availability change may instead create migration work.

Missing comparison points

Missing checks: old versus new behavior, affected plans and regions, availability date, compatibility, rollback path and cost under the same workload.

Migration check

Save the release or policy notice, run the same task on the old and new option, and compare outputs and the full bill. For retirement notices, verify the deadline before scheduling migration.
